Fidelity Rewards Visa Signature application and approval

I just wanted to detail how I recently got approved for this card.

  • I made an application online at fidelity.com
  • It was a hard pull (Equifax - current 796)
  • I didn't hear anything for about two business days - the message was "you will hear from us within 7-10 business days" or something to that effect
  • I received a phone call two days later from Elan Financial Services to verify my application - they also sent a code via SMS which I had to confim over the phone (just have your cell handy!)
  • Approval was two days later with a line of credit of $20K. The card showed up in my Fidelity account, which was nice. I went ahead an set up the auto cashback redemption feature.
  • Why did I get this card?
    • It was primarily to max any cashbacks (2% unlimited for this card) and automatically redeem that to my Fidelity Go robo advisor account - every $2500 in charges nets me $50 cash back for bonds/mutual funds which is not too shabby.
    • It's also a free card!
  • Been gardening for a while so this is my first card after a two year wait (approximately).
Gardening until November 1, 2023

Congrats on your Fidelity card Smiley Happy

Canned mine when I departed Fidelity and 50 bucks is a high redemption threshold, they never got with the rest of the banks allowing any amount. Hope it works for ya.

@gdale6  they've recently lowered the redemption threshold to 25 dollars. Also noticed that it appears you can transfer points between accts. From the verbiage I would assume this just refers to the ability to redeem points into other ppl's accts, (they've had this for awhile) but it may also mean between Fidelity CC accts. I didn't look too closely... EDITED to add... Congrats OP!
