I've had the card for a little over a year, and I've finally been able to get a CLI of $1500. I'd initially had a CL of $1K from when I got the card, and it's been driving me nuts when I use it since I don't want more than 10% on it at any one time. So, today, I thought "what the heck" and went through the process of a CLI and was surprised I got it (even though my scores are fine and the inqs on my reports are fine). Now, I wish I'd asked for more! lol
Is there a time limit to request a CLI with Bank of America? If I ask today for an increase, do I have to wait x-days to request another?
You need to really take good care of your BofA card. They will reward you with great CLI's with continued useage + payments history.
I started out with the 1-2-3 Cash Rewards card which took a Recon (2nd HP) to even get approved for with a SL of $1K.
At 6 months it was increased (upon request and HP) to $4500 then on to $10K.
You probably don't even realize it right now that your holding gold with their credit products.
Use responsibly and by all means don't put it off, COMMUNICATE!!!
They relish customer communication and WILL WORK WITH YOU!

we shall see. I am not that impressed with them myself. But yes, long term they seem to be great. I am maxing my amtrak out, and leaving it that way until they give me a CLI. I am tired of using and paying, using and paying, using and paying. So... I am maxing it out every month, regardless of score impacts. Cheers.

Congratulations on the CLI, but why do you not want to go over 10% usage? With a $1k card, the way you show them you like the card is: You run it up to $500 or $900 and then pay in full. I have gotten automatic CLI on BofA cards in the past, the most recent being earlier this year, one went from $12,700 to $15,700, after a big BT I put on the card a year ago, then made large payments on it.
You don't have your other cards listed, but with a $1k or $1.5k, the utilization % on a daily basis is not something to be concerned about, as long as it is less than 100% utilization. Your score might come down a few points, but if you aren't apping, you need to heavily use these cards, PIF, then just manage them to lower utilization if there is an app coming up.
