Finally...Target love.

Only had one increase $500>$800. Then noithin for quite sometime. Decided to let a $225 balance report, read a lot of posts saying they received a increase after 20% usage reporting... Bingo a little bump to $1200. Just happy to break a grand with them.

Re: Finally...Target love.

Congrats. That's actually good for them. I have wanted this card but I have always passed because of this reason. The debit does the same thing and then I don't have some small limit card. Target really should lighten up on this-more people would get the card and use it.

My mom and Dad opened on-they gave an 821 FICO on TU and have plenty of money and they got a SL of $500. Lol. At that rate my 770 would get me $300.

Really wish they would be more like Synch with their limits. Even if they started low and allowed soft CLIs every 90 days or something....Would love to have this card.

Congrats again. (this is the red card right and not the visa?)

Wow, nice job. Getting a grand out of Target must be like getting a Centaurian card, elusive and bragworthySmiley Wink

Yes... just the store card.

Anyone know what limit you need , before they even consider you for upgrade?

Re: Finally...Target love.

Congrats! I just put my "15 years of Target" story in another thread a few minute ago, so I won't repeat it all, but I am not sure if there is a minimum limit for the "upgrade."  Mine was a $1200 store card that became a $800 Visa in 2005 then a $800 chip & PIN MasterCard a few years ago.  Fortunately the CLIs have finally been slowly coming lately, but I would say that unless I was somehow grandfathered in, there's probably not so much a monetary floor as there is an underwriting floor for them accepting the risk of non-Target purchases.  Of course with Target, you can't ask them to give you a CLI or an upgrade so it's all a guessing game.

Also, my memory is a bit hazy... I think that when my card was changed to Visa it was because Retailers National Bank discontinued the store card and Target National Bank was only issuing Target Visa cards?

Sorry I didn't see your message since I was typing a reply, but I assume this is me.  If not, this is also me.

Awww.  If I had to have the oddball card that no one else has, I'd prefer it to be a J.P Morgan Reserve, or at least a conversation piece like a JCB or UnionPay.  Smiley Very Happy
