Finally back in with synchrony

hi all

Was thinking if i would ever get back in with synchrony, as i shop alot at amazon. I even posted a question tonight asking how forgiving they are. I had not applied for a while so decided to try and to my surprise got approved for both Amazon and Walmart. These are my frist approvals of any kind, i have secured cards and cards as an authorized user but have not had a staright approval since 2007. My transunion is 605. Should i try to apply for any other synchrony cards or should i just stick to these two for a while? I have worked very hard to get to the 605 credit score and its thanks to all the advice i have recieved on these forums.

Re: Finally back in with synchrony

I wouldn't apply for anything else. I have similar scores and got approved for Amazon and WalMart. Then I went on a Synchrony app spree, thinking "Hey, they love me today". Nope. Denied for everything else and it was a HP for each app. Grow those cards for a while, get CLI's in 3-6 months maybe.

Re: Finally back in with synchrony

Personally I would wait a bit and see if you can get your TU up another 15-20 points before applying for anything else from synchrony. I was approved for Walmart and Amazon about 4 months ago but denied for SAMs and Banana Republic the next day. After getting my TU score up to 620 last week I apped again this week and was finally approved after two denials last year! My Walmart and Amazon cards are growing fast and I am loving synchrony! Wishing you similar success, OP!

Re: Finally back in with synchrony

Whats the quickest way of growing them, using them constantly and paying off in full?

Re: Finally back in with synchrony

See this makes me angry. I have a 675 TU and keep getting denials. Only one baddie that is 6 years old and I have never defaulted on a CC payment or company. To hell with Synchrony. Discover gives me more rewards on Amazon purchases than Amazon ever could.

Same. I was 609 TU and got approved for Amazon and WM and got denied for JCP and another one (can't remember). And denied on CLI requests via CS and Chat.

So I'm doig what cam suggests and waiting at least 3 months to ask for CLIs and probably 6.

Capital One Savor: $6,000; Mission Lane: $4,500; PenFed Power Cash Rewards: $3,500; Nordstrom Visa: $3,300; Capital One: $2,550

Store/Other: Care Credit $7,500; Kohls $2,500; Home Depot: $1,500; Amazon: $1,000; Target: $1,100; LOFT: $700
