Congratulations!
Nice and sort of gutsy with a score barely over 600. All in all, congratulations!!!!!!!!!!
I agree it was a little bit gutsy for me to go for the cards, but at this point I needed to open some lines to get things going in the proper direction.
I figured the Cap One would go through since I have been good with their secured card, but the Barclays was a total shocker to me.
I also had my signifcant other add me to her Quicksilver as an AU which gave me a little postive history with CAP1.
Either way, I'm pleased. I went from having a $200 secured card to over 2k in a weeks time. I will probably close the secured card at some point here since its so new and low balance. Sound like a good idea?

No..it does not sound like a good idea! Leave it open. Doesn't matter if it's a kiddie limit or not...I'm not a fan of closing cards...especially if you are in rebuild more and it isn't a Credit One card, where they charge you a monthly fee regardless.
Also, I think that someone else said it best; I'd suggest that you DON'T app for anything else right now and put the brakes on for six months. That way your scores have a chance to increase and you can app more confidently for a card like a Chase Freedom. In my estimation from going through all the information on here and reading 100s of post, app'ing for the Barclays now will turn up into a DECLINE. Better for you to slow down and give yourself a chance to win.
congrats!!

Kudos!
You might consider another Cap1 card. 3 months ago my scores were in the 577-650 range, depending on FICOs/FAKOs model used, and I was approved for 2 different cards simultaneously, $2K & $3K.
I got annoyed with no CLIs and applied for the QS 1/30/15 and was approved with a $5K CL, total CL with Cap1 now $10K
Keep in mind, they WILL pull all 3 CRAs
Good job on your rebuilding, keep it up! ![]()
@Anonymous wrote:I have been on a credit repair blitz the last two months and have brought my scores from the low 500's to a 615 average. So i figured it was time to strike while the iron was hot and try and get some credit. I havent had an unsecured card in about 7 years. I got a capitalone secured card $200 limit with $200 deposit and have been good with it for a year along with my car payment. After some PFD and dispute sucess my score shot up and I figured it was time to try and get a few real cards.
I applied for the apple rewards because of the potential benefits of 0% financing through Apple at some point got approved for $1500 limit. I was shocked.
I wanted a cash back card and figured the QS1 was decent even though it has the annual fee. Got approved for $500.
Overall pretty happy.
I really want to get one more bank card and head into the garden. Any advice for what I should apply for?
CONGRATS on your success
Congratulations!
