Well it took 4.5 years but I did it.

Here is the gist....I opened my secured citicard with a 200.00 credlit limit in 2009, one month after my ch 7 bk was discharged.

I asked for a CLI over four years and all were declined.

Yesterday I called the exec offices and asked for a 5k increase and today I found out it was approved.

My Experian, which they pulled, was 682, 1% debt and 10 inq and obviously bk is still on CR

I did tell the exec offcies when I was on the phone with them about my 35k sitting in my Citi checking account and gave the rep my account number.

I don't know if this made any difference but I thought it would not hurt

I am very excited!

Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
