haha i've been there.
i didn't have a checking acount, a job, pay taxes from like 98-06. just used all cash and if anything, my significant other at the time, would let me use her cards and credit and i just gave her the cash for everything.
congrats on getting in with chase. i'm still on the fence to applying right now.

Fair question!! I have lived a very strange life. Ranged from being a professional poker player(not a rich one, a GRINDY one) to being homeless for a stretch. The last 5 years have been calm and I've just used my lady's checking for direct deposits and such.

Ha! Yeah i didn't pay taxes for many years either! OFF the grid.
I got approved for the Freedom. For some reason they pre-qualified me for the Freedom Unlimited and Slate as well. Only applied for the one.

😆 Yeah. I probably hung up 10 times or so before I finally spoke to anyone. Everyone I spoke to was super nice though. Not bad at all!

CALM- that's all that counts. A lot to be said for the Simple Life. Some of my best memories were from traveling from town to town, job to job (same trade)....but no one could find us, just the ones that mattered. I liked that- no phone, no address, no nuting but piece and happiness when we came home from a hard day's work. No stupid mail. Pop a top, stroll the beach, woods, campground...didn't matter, nothing weighing on your mind but what's for dinner and who's driving to the store. Cash was King no need for anything else. Simple.
Keep the Calm
Congrats! Treat it right and watch it grow![]()
Congrats!
