After having several AMEX business cards and gaining real traction in their being good to me, I though it was time to take a chance for a personal card. I went for the Brilliant as it will compliment the business version and the Sub will take me to nearly 500k points.
I was hesitant due to this being my first ever personal card. And though I have had all SP approvals to date, I suspected a HP for my first personal. I applied and got the "we can't approve you just yet, we will let you know" language. Within 5 minutes however I received a couple of emails, one from EX regarding a HP and then the approval email from AMEX. The SL is 15k which is great. I was crossing my fingers it was not going to be the $3,100.00 some have reported.
