So I shop a lot at GAP and Banana Republic and decided to apply for their card. I was approved for the GAP VISA for a temporary limit of 1,200 (not sure what is the real SL yet). They pulled TU but also got notification that they are trying to pull my EX which was frozen at the time of my application. Now that I have this card, the question is - What will happen when it transfer to Barclays in 4 months as I'm blacklisted with them? I know it will change from VISA to Mastercard but I have no idea what will happen next. Last application for me and I'm on the GARDEN.
I "think" I was still not liked by Cap1 when they took over the Walmart MC from Synchrony and the Cabelas MC. They didn't do anything good for me, but no AA either. They did keep an eye on me as they reduced my limit from $2,000 to $900 after a 1 day late payment.
Barclay's is nuts in my opinion. I closed my JetBlue card years ago because of their weird behavior. Ymmv but nothing will surprise me with them
