Well, I finally decided to go for it, and I am pleased with the results! Instant approval for $10,000. So far, no notification for a hardpull, which is different from my other to Amex revolvers. I was approved for my Platinum with no hardpull back in May. I am going back into the garden (first trip lasted two months), and I finally have no cards left that I want or "need". Woo!

With a couple post concerning AA and someone getting the Ritz, id be more concerned with how Chase might react to a new account then just adding another card@Anonymous, I should have been more specific. That's one of my worries with adding another card, is AA on other accounts... Primarily Chase.
Hmmmm..have you considered the business version instead? The sign up bonus is a little less (25K) and you have to spend $2K more ($5K total) to get it...but business cards do not report to the bureaus and many have stated that lately new Amex approvals-even business-are SP as long as you've had a recent Amex AR. Anybody can apply for a business card as a sole proprietor (Google this; there are many youtube videos about this and travel websites that discuss this). I am considering this myself just to test it out. Yeah, I'm bored LOL.
I refurbish/repair old video game stuff and sell it on eBay as a hobby - that seems to count as a sole propietorship as far as all the lenders are concerned. Definitely keeping the SPG business card for the forseeable future ![]()
