Goodys Approval issued by Comenity Bank ?

Hello all,

As the title hints, I was approved today; I did what we all preach against doing which was applying at the register to get the extra percent off. I am in Goodys regularly and it will work at any of the Stage stores, so hopefully, I will get some use out of it.

I was approved for $800; I was glad to be approved (First time I ever applied for a card in store) to save the embarrassment of a denial.

I was kind of shocked at the starting limit, but then again I know everything is based on our history and scores and differing factors.

I guess my main reason for being shocked was that Comenity Capital approved me for $3,000 out the gate on my HSN card with lower scores and a shorter AAOA. Since then my file has thickened and my limits have risen.

I guess my major question for you all is do those of you all with Comenity issued and Comenity Capital issued accounts see a big difference in starting limits between the two wings of the bank? With Comenity Capital giving higher limits than just plan Comenity?

Re: Goodys Approval issued by Comenity Bank ?

I have personally experienced a difference between the two.

Comenity Capital (per Visa Cards) has in the past started me out very modestly compared to say a JCREW/Overstock sct card.

BUT, the biggest difference in my opinion is been the time element which also plays into those card limits.

That first VISA (Comenity Capital) took me for example a whole year just to be approved for the first one.

After you show steady progress with their VISA CARDS (and many months) they grow accustomed and seem more comfortable.

The key with them is once you are approved for their Visa Cards back off and don't heap on INQ's or New Cards

I guess you could say that Comenity Capital is fairly strict or this is been my experience betweeen the two.

Oh Congratulations by the way Smiley Happy
