I know I should have listened to sage advice from community members re: "My credit plans for 2023." I was advised to wait until I'm in the 700s to apply for anything further as to avoid low starting limits. Fast forward, I became a Navy CU member yesterday & after a couple of cocktails ( I know I'm not the only one 😝) tried the pre-qual tool. I was pre-approved! Took their Go card which is similar to a Savor One card in terms of rewards. Was not thrilled with SL ($2800) but from what I have read on here Navy CU is generous with their CLIs. And considering I had a CH 7 discharge 7/21 I should feel blessed anyone would touch me with a 10 foot pole. So fingers crossed. Definitely in the garden for a long time now. Currently holding a CapOne Savor One ($3000), Sound CU Visa ($10K) and Discover Miles ($8K). Last goal is a co-branded card like a Marriott Bonvoy but I can wait. And perhaps see if I can get back in with American Express. For those of you who feel hopeless please don't. If I could do this so can you! And that's saying something 😝

Congrats on your Navy approval! My first card with Navy was for $1K limit. $2.8K is not bad with recent chapter 7.
