I decided I needed to increase my utilization, so I app'ed and was approved for two new cards, for a total cl of $3000. (Barclays $1200 and Cap 1 Plat $1800) FIrst question is, how much of a ding will the hard pulls from these apps affect my current credit score? I hope only like 15 or 20 pts. Is that realistic? 2nd, I now have WAY more credit so I should see my utilization % go WAY down, which I also think will help in the near future. Agreed?
Im banking on it being a "one step back, three steps forward" kind of a thing.
Thanks for the help!
