I wasn't sure this one would pan out but I had to try.
I was 5/24. I technically went 4/24 on December 3rd but I asked here and people advised me to wait until January.
Well I was partying and had a bit too much to drink. That always emboldens the people who shouldn't be emboldened I guess lol
I submitted my application at 12:07 local time. I think Chase is on New York time so it was like 2AM by that point but I digress
I applied for the Freedom Unlimited. Income $73K.
Instantly approved for $7600 @ 25.24%. The APR doesn't matter. I don't even know if there is an intro APR. I saw the $250 bonus for $500 of spend and wanted it and I took my shot.
I also submitted an application for the Kroger card and that went to review. I'm not expecting to get it because US Bank is fussy and I've added 4 cards this year, including a US Bank card 4 months ago, but I had to take the shot as we shop at Krogers and use a lot of tap pay.
Chase pulled Experian. They pulled Experian and TransUnion for the other two cards I have with them so I guess they trust me more. My Experian 8 is 751. No derogs. Every application I made in the last year used Experian so I have 5 HPs on the report, including the new US Bank one.
We needed a new mattress and were waiting for a good bonus before buying it. $250 off whatever we buy was well worth doing and we were nervous about the craziness to come this year so I'm just happy to start it off on a good foot before we have to go back to waking up to a bunch of nonsense every day.
