I applied for a Huntington Voice credit card on March 15, 2014. Received 5-7 day pending notice. Received a letter in the mail on March 21, 2014 stating that Equifax had no credit file on me (it was on ice). Thawed report first thing this morning. Just called Huntington and credit department said application was approved, but still in processing. CSR couldn't give me any other information because application was still processing. I've never heard of this before so I called back. I got a different CSR who told me basically the same thing as the first CSR. The second person said call back and they should have more information by the end of the week. I'm a little nervous because I was declined ebates and DCU this weekend. Has anyone here ever went through this with Huntington or any other creditor? I have never heard this before. I thought once you were approved, you were given a credit limit. I realize that the card has to be made and sent out, but usually you get the credit limit. I've already did my daily pull on EQ so I can't see if they did a HP today. Will have to wait until tomorrow for that. Any experiences given would be appreciated. Thank you.
It looks like I was immediately approved once I unlocked my report (unlocked this morning and they said I'm approved) but don't know the limit. Did you get your credit limit immediately?
Instant approvals are revoked by the UW staff every day of the week, more prominent with US Bank. Is not much info on Huntington Bank out there since they are relatively new in issuing their own cards again. My advice is to just wait and call as suggested.

Thanks. I have no choice, but to wait now ![]()

@12njoy, I received my CL immediately upon approval.
Thanks, I'll update later in the week. Looks like this can go either way.
I was instantly approved for this card 6 months ago for $10k online. No relationship to Huntington, card arrived about 10 days later. Congrats, its a good card to have, you will like it!
ETA: I believe their front line staff does not have immediate access to your credit limit. I read this happened to a few people when the card came out. I dont recall how they found out limit before the card arrived.

Thanks B335is. So it sounds like, based on your experience, that it may very well be a go for me.

I was approved and had to go to local branch to verify identity. I could see the approval on the screen, and there was no limit. They don't give the limit at time of approval. Mine was approved for 13.5k.
I was was able to get limit when they sent email to set up online account (you can set it up without card), then I could see the limit. The card came about a week later.
