I did the same thing. Actually, I have a summer car that had like $1600 left on the loan so I put that on the csp and paid it off. Then I bought a winter car and ran that through the card and paid it off. Its extremely smart as long as you pif.

The reason I would be so hesitant to actually get the car is becausethe CSP doesnt have 0% interest the first year, so that 4000 purchase + interest is somewhere near 4600 and some change, with interest on it every month.

Congrats!

 

On my own CSP approval (which wasn't instant but just required identity verification steps), Chase granted me 8500 initial CL and my EX FICO 8 was 670-something at the time.

 

Having a banking relationship with Chase *definitely* helps.
