Grrrrr. Got the 10 day comment. If I didn't love Costco so much. I really, really don't love Amex.
Accorning to that, it cancelled my application. Ugh. I'll call and speak to a real human tomorrow. Their web portal, well, sucks. It's about the worst I've dealt with in many moons.

When is the last time you applied for an AMEX?
I've actually gotten used to their web portal.
I like it better than Chase's anyway...
Actually a month ago. I wouldn't have applied again except they sent a begging letter with a $55 bonus. Tomorrow will be a month and one day, so I'm sure that's going to make all the difference in the world (sarcasm). I used to spend a lot more time at Costco but I don't like that they only take debit and Amex. I think it's a marriage made in hell. The beautiful Costco and the Beast of all beasts, Amex.
I prefer controlling my spending through my cards rather than directly from my checking, so I decided to try one last time. If it doesn't work this time, I just won't be going to Costco as much.I'm already avoiding Costco frequently for the reason I mentioned. It's a shame, since they are a shining star of the corporate world. The Anti/Sams, you know? They offer their employees a living wage and their employees are some of the most satisfied in the grocery/retail world. Heck, they have a union and the company supports that! I want to support them!
I am truly at a loss as to why they shacked up with Amex. Would that that marriage would end, but Amex has a way of getting it's claws in and not letting go.

Their app is amazingly screwed up. But, I figured out how to get through their glitches and it was definitely submitted. The address field is especially amazing, in that "you've got to be kidding me" sort of way.

Kinda wish you'd have mentioned the last time you applied.
I'd have told you to hold off a week or so.
