Grats on your new cards and yes an inquiry can sometimes cause a score increase especially if you have not apped for anything in awhile.

It was about this time last year that i landed a Comenity Victorias Secret that actually not only improved my score but was sort of a launching ground for additional approvals that really took things to a whole other level after the new year! Keep up the good work, it's agonizingly slow at first but more breakthru's will come.
