I've been thinking about the IHG One Rewards Credit Card MasterCard for some time now.
With its elevated 165,000 points welcome offer expiring early April, I decided to pull the trigger tonight.
As some of you may (or may not) know, I am VERY Annual Fee (AF) averse (and, basically team Cash Back (CB) ). This card has a $99 AF. 
I think my first AF card ever! And I hardly travel / stay at hotels. But.... me and the kids have season passes to Six Flags Magic Mountain in the Valencia / Santa Clarita California area and it is a 2 hour drive from Murrieta CA each way. Sometimes we like to stay at a (cheap) hotel in the area and go two days in a row. This card will give me about 6-7 free nights with the welcome offer + welcome offer spend, and one free stay per year (local Holiday Inn Express). This Holiday Inn Express is about 26,000-28,000 points per weekend night (or maybe points + a little cash). I give it a value of about $160 - $200/nt. So this more than covers the AF. And the 6-7 intro night points don't expire so we can spread those out over 3+ years taking, say, 2-3 nights per year. The free annual night certificate is up to 40,000 points so maybe we can step it up a little for that redemption, lol. I am super stoked! And so will the kids be, lol.
This $35,000 Credit Limit (CL) is a record high for me. All my existing cards are in the $6,000 - $12,000 CL range. I never expected a $35k limit on this card. I am wowed. 
Data:
- I am Chase Private Client so not sure if that helped or not.
- After many years, I am/was (before tonight) at/below 5/24 (I knew this when Chase started giving me pre-approval offers for credit cards for the first time in years).
- TU and EQ reports are squeaky clean and in the 800s. I have a medical collection on my EX (not sure what my score is). I am not sure what reports Chase pulled here in southern CA (haven't received any info yet but I can update this thread when/if I find out). Although, ironically/coincidentally EX monitoring was the quickest to alert me to a new inquiry tonight!
- Household income = $165,000 (all me, wife is a stay at home Mom

- Mortgage $2,000-ish (not asked in the app)
- Always Pay In Full (PIF) everything but, for what it's worth, I think I got the lowest available 21.49% APR.
