I've been a lurker here for a while, and have found this forum invaluable!
I had had been really bad with credit when I was younger and struggling to pay rent and support myself. I had defaulted on a few sub-prime cards, and even two years ago thought that I'd never have credit again. In January 2014 Merrick Bank sent me an approval offer of an unsecured Visa with a $600 limit that would double in six months if I made on time payments. I accepted and spent all of 2014 gardening that card. I got my $1200 limit at the six month mark, but it hasn't budged since. I recently got an approval pop up on the Woman Within site, which as I was skeptical led me to do a Google search and I came across this forum and the Shooping Cart Trick discussion. I've been addicted to these boards ever since! I didn't accept the Woman Within card because I really don't shop there much, but thanks to these boards I've learned a lot and did get up the nerve to apply for some stuff, and was so happy to see "You've been approved..."! Here are my recent approvals:
VS Angel Card -$250 SL (soft pull SCT)
J. Jill Card - $500 SL (soft pull SCT)
j. Crew card - $250 SL (soft pull SCT)
Capital One QS1 MasterCard - $500 SL, will increase after five payments (hard pull application)
Amazon Prime store card - $600 SL (hard pull application)
thanks to to everyone here on these forums! I would never have gotten any of these without all the advice I've read here! I'm especially excited about the QS MasterCard and the Amazon one. I shop there a lot, and it's good to be in with Synchrony. They seem to offer the cards for the stores I shop at the most!
I'd call synchrony bank for your Amazon prime store card and see if you can get more if I were you. I just recently got that card in Feb for $800, called today asked for $4k approved for $3.5k! Wal-Mart card is also synchrony bank went from $500 to $1k card is two weeks old.
