If you need/want the card then I say YES go for it, if you are sure they prequalified you. My example: I had significant delinquencies with Amex a few years back (worked it through and it stayed off credit report) and just this month got approved for the BCP on a prequalified offer with their lowest interest rate.

CO isn't considering your emotions.  Don't let emotion determine whether you app or not.

Agree with takeshi. You have to remove emotions from credit. The lender certainly will not feel any emotion about you. This is business. App for what suits you. Not what you feel emotional about.

I will admit I fell into hard times a few years back and CapOne felt the brunt of those hard times. Since then I have improved my credit and today I received pre qualifed offers from cap one in the mail.

I then went to the cap one site and it says I am pre approved for two cards.

Should I try or will I most likely get declined since I screwed them over 4 years ago?

Just an FYI says i am pre qualified for the QuickSilver and the Regular Plat card. The mailer was for the Plat card.

I most likely won't apply but am curious what others think.

I don't think they're one of the vengeful companies.

I would suggest applying for  the QS if you like rewards, for the regular platinum if you like balance transfers.

Does the Quick Silver card show up as platnium cards on the capitalone site? Its showing I have two platnium cards so I am assuming so.

My Journey card shows up as a platinum card online. It also stated platinum on all of the disclosures I received in the mail when I got my card, so no worries!
