after my disappointing $1k approval with Barclays, I was feeling a little bit insecure about my credit profile.
so yesterday I decided to app for a card that's known to go big on the starting limit to, um, compensate.
It was a weird application process.
put in my phone number and last four of SS and my personal info auto populated
they never asked for income so they must have some way of getting that info
i hit submit and the wheel spun for a few seconds. And then 'your application was submitted'.
So I called and they provided an email to send my DL and SS card copies.
told me to expect an email in a day or two
Then I tried to set up online access and it didn't work
so I called back and they told me that from an underwriting standpoint my app is approved I'm just waiting on someone to rubber stamp my DL and SS card copies that I sent in.
I asked if he could see that they were submitted and he said yes I just pulled them up and the copies are acceptable and as soon as that dept gets to them my card will be on its way and I'll be able to set up online banking.
iirc that's the lowest Apr they offer.

I've had a nice little run of CLIs and approvals lately. I've gone from 32k in available credit to 96k since July.
I think it's time to cool it for a while on the apps.
