Hi guys,I was just starting to type this when
my phone rang. Was another local credit union I forgot
I applied to earlier this morning letting me know
I was accepted for membership. Wanting to know if I want a CC<duh>
Will let you guys know how
that turns out. LOL just got another call, this time from Langley
letting me know they are sending me my credit card. OK going to start over.
I read as many of @AverageJoesCredit as I can so he gets credit for this one.
First off this was the EASIEST credit union I have ever joined, and now
the fastest to send a CC. I applied for membership at about 11:00 A.M.
funded account with $5.00 in savings and checking.
Was allmost instant approval to join.
Got the Welcome email and my membership #
Promptly enrolled in online banking and went
to the loan icon. Asked for a loan, credit variety, and filled out all
the lines.Hit send and was approved for $16,400
Was offered either the Rewards card @16.25 or the low interest card.
Went low interst @12.25 I believe. Now that was about an hour
from joining,to apping,to actually getting the card mailed.
I am duly impressed! I have not recieved any HP notifications so I'm not
sure who they pulled yet,but will update when I know.

And thanks for the Data Points on Langley FCU! ![]()
*Incidentally, do you know where Langley FCU gets its' name?
Langley Air Force Base (Virginia), where the CU is located, is named after Samuel Pierpont Langley (1834-1906), an American astronomer, physicist, and aviation pioneer. He became the 3rd Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution in 1887 and was already hard at work by then researching and testing flying machines well before the Wright Brothers successfully built and made their first successful flight in 1903.
