Lowe's Prequalify **UPDATE** Approved!

Submitted the Lowe's pre-qualify link tonight and it came back "You're pre-qualified for the following offer." Listed a specific APR but no amount. 

Should the pre-qualification also list an amount to improve approval odds?

Same happened with my husband on his first try because he really wants the card but they only gave him a Apr. A week later he tried again and it said they couldn't prequalify him and that he will receive a letter in the mail.

I tried as well just to see if it was an error but nope, they gave me a Credit Limit and APR.

Thanks for the reply @Trini88 !  So, curiosity got the best of me and I submitted the app through the prequalify link.  Got a message that stated something along the lines of thanks for your request of the Lowe's card, and I'd receive a response in 7 to 10 days.  Welp, called the Credit Solutions number that I found here on the forum and got transferred to the applications dept--call initially went to the credit line increase rep.

The rep looked up my app and sent a link to my phone to verify my ID with a video selfie along with a copy of my ID which was the most troubleome part--she was very patient with me.  Approved for $1,000 SL @ 26.99 apr.  Fico 8 TU 620.

If you're interested, you can call Customer Service rep back and ask for credit line reconsdieration.  Don't worry you won't incur a hard pull they're only soft pulls.  To give you an example, I was initially approved for $6,000 (just like you started with prequalify APR only).  Immediately called customer servcie and asked for $20,000 they countered me with $17,000 instead - i took it and been there ever since.

Absolutely, @Trini88 !  Can't hurt to try!  I'd tried unsuccessfully in the past, & this was my first prequal offer, even with the apr only.
