Lowes instant approval and CLI

I need to do some remodeling and didn't want to put it on any of my cards. Before applying for anything, I did my homework and came to myfico to figure out what to do. As always, I found a wealth of useful information and went ahead and applied for lowes, $2K instant approval. Then, following the instructions from here, I called the backdoor number and asked for $35K. After a couple of minutes on hold, they counteroffered with $17K. I'll try again in a few days via chat to get another CLI from $17K to $35K. Thank you great people of myfico!
