I was really very happy with my Discover It limit of $15,700. For me, that's a lot of credit and a big CL that I'll never come close to using.
After reading all the recent GIANT gravy train posts, though, I was finding the luv button hard to resist. I already got two smaller increases when the train was running earlier this year, but holy heck what increases people are reporting now. I'd read the latest CLI and get tempted but resist, get tempted but resist. Then today I couldn't resist. I hit the button annnnnnd
Discover offered me a $3,000 increase, the biggest they've ever given me.
I was so freaked out that I slid the slider back down to a $2k increase and accepted the lesser amount. Go ahead, tell me I'm an idiot, but I accepted as much good old Discover LUV as I could stand.
I LOVE DISCOVER!!!!!!

Congratulations, definitely a good feeling, especially the long jumps.
Congrats

Thank you, guys, for both the congrats and for not calling me an idiot.
Until two years ago, I had only two ccs, maybe $12k credit total. I had good credit but never gave much thought to it. Then I found MyFico.com.
Now I've got about $70k credit which is more than 2x my income. I know that's not uncommon for veteran MyFicoans, but sometimes it still shakes me up. I'll probably prune a couple of cards after the first of the year while aiming to keep CLs on my remaining cards that are healthy but not high enough to even remotely risk triggering any doubts from cc vendors.
