Alright, so I stopped by my local credit union and got an application for my Classic Visa Card that is sitting at $1,000. Yeah ... it's the lowest credit line in my hand and put a little spending on it. PIF Checks marks since the account was open in Jan 2019.
I asked for $5,000 ... which I really doubt I'll get, but Michigan Schools & Government CU does do counter offers on what is approved. So I got approved with an increase of $2,000 making the Classic Visa Card $3,000 in total.
On a side note, my total CL broke 10,000 with an avg of 2.5k CL
congrats.....can you share membership requirements?....thanks

MSGCU for entry is I believe you have to have an address in the lower part of Michigan and not in the UP. They will do a HP on Experian and ChexSystem.
MSGCU far as I know uses FICO 3 Score for Credit cards

Congrats on your increase, and new 3x CL!!
Yeah ... I got a long way to get their rewards card. So far I was hoping for 3k or 4k from them. Even with that, it still puts me in a good position to ask later 6 months down the road and try again to get the 5k CL. 5k CL is needed to get the Plat/**bleep** and then after the Rewards Card. So I am on a good running stretch here.
If all goes well in 6 months, I should be able to get another 2k CLI and see if I do meet requirements for the Plat/**bleep** Card. If so, then I am waiting for at least a year to get the rewards.
If it goes sour, then it's going to take longer than 1.5 years then I expected to get the rewards card.
Congrats!
Nice!
