Macys Approval!

Finally!  I have been trying for several months to get this card after having had it closed by Macys back in 2008 during our credit problems.  I had tried online a few times and kept getting denied.  I reconned and was told the old acct still had an $8 bal.  Took care of that and was told to try applying online again.  Still no dice.  Then was told to go into the store and try.  Did that today and was basically given the "they need to do some more verification" speil.  Got home and reconned once again.  Went with the backdoor number and spoke with a very pleasant rep.  She looked at the app further and said apparently their system had not yet caught up and the app was still getting hung up on the previous balance.  She said let me reconsider it again and I'll be right back.  She came back and uttered those magical words....Approved!  And with a starting limit of $1200!  Yay me!

Keep in mind you can do either online chat or phone them for a CLI every 6 months.  They'll say it's going to be a HP but, 99.99% of the time it's a SP.
