Hello all,
I used the request increase button in my account and asked for $5,000 it popped up approved with the new limit being $5,000 immidately, however, my account still shows my original limit of $2,000. Being curious I logged out logged back in and still saw the $2,000 limit so I pressed the request increase button again and it told me my current limit was still 2,000, I then typed in 6,000 and it popped up approved for the requested limit and that this will take effect immediately. however in my account it still shows my limit as 2,000, is this normal for synchrony?
My question for you all is when will the increase actually show up in my account or was this just a glitch in synchrony's system and I did not get an increase?
This is the first time I have ever requested an increase on a Synchrony card via the request increase button, I called in a few months ago to credit solutions and got my AE limit increased to $3,000 the amount I asked for.
I am just looking for some insight from the long time synchrony customers, thanks in advance for your help.
This EXACT thing happened to me earlier in the week. I requested an increase and got it but when I logged out and logged back in my previous credit limit was still showing. I gave it a day and logged back in but my old limit was still showing. I hopped on the chat and a very nice CSR told me I would have to call and speak to a supervisor. I freaked out a little thinking that I may have my account shut down (even though I have done nothing wrong and I asked for a very mild increase of $1000) but I called and they manually had to change it. The nice woman I talked with said she couldn't tell me why it didn't automatically update but she could see where I was approved for the amount I requested. So, after this long winded response, your best bet is to just call and have someone manually update it. Hope this helps!
+1
I had the same experience.
Awesome Thanks you all! I was also freaked out.
I hopped on chat, was told to call called in, then was told by her I had to call credit solutions. Then after the chat and the 2 phone calls the credit solutions person had her manager manually enter my new limit.
All three people apologized for my inconvenience
I was shocked that they granted my increase for the exact amount I asked for. $6,000 at 15.24% interest is not bad.
Thanks again everyone!
