Hello board, I had the misfortune of being converted to Mercury from my two Barclay's accounts. One with CL of $3000, the other with $4000. These cards have been stagnant and for the most part the customer service is not the greatest. I spoke to a CSR about 6-8 months ago about a CLI. It has gone unoticed until yesterday when I received an email. I logged in and checked my account to my surprise the $3000 increased to $4800 and the $4000 to $5800. I still wont use them much, just to keep them open.
Cheers
Bam!
I was also one of the unfortunate Barclay Rewards cardholders that was converted to a Mercury card. My initial experience was insulting as I made a $2K or so payment and my payment was held for 7 days (5 days after the payment cleared my bank account). My payments have always been "substantial" amounts, timely, and have never been rejected by my banking institution. The result post speaking to a customer service representative was a $2K credit limit increase the following statement.
Fast forward to today. . . I called to update my income and inquire about credit limit increase eligibility. The customer representative mentioned a company wide policy is in place that precludes any credit limit requests or increases. Seems Mercury may be having some challenges. Default rates on credit cards have increased recently (see article below) as have auto loan default rates. May be an individual company issue or an indication of a slow turn towards a recession.

Congrats on the increases.!!!
