Just got approved for a Mercury Mastercard. The APR is a bit higher than I would like, however I do not plan on carrying a balance so its fine I guess.
Got approved for $1000
T&C states APR 28.24 Accross the board, no interest if I pay the entire balance each month
1% Cash Back
Somewhat Competitive with the QS1 I just got with no Annaul Fee, however it is only 1% instead of 1.5%.
This is definetly a card I will be keeping with it not having an annual fee.
The only question I have is: Do they give out CLI's at all?
Data points for those who want to know
I am almost 1 year post BK, next month will be that mark
Fico scores are all between 630-640
They pulled Transunion for me.
Credit Karma popped up w/ Outstanding approval odds
Congrats on your Mercury Mastercard approval and best of luck on the rebuild!
Grats on your Mercury approval
Yes they do give auto CLIs
Just because credit karma or experian advertises these cards doesnt mean you should apply lol

For sure, I have recieved many "Your Pre Approved" "Chances Are Excellent" Many are secured or require an application fee with many annual fees. I avoid those.
This is probably the best card in my profile currently. With no annual fee, it is a good padding to just sock drawer after my rebuild with no drawback I can see.
Congratulations on your Mercury MC Approval 🎉
Congratulations on your Mercury Mastercard approval!

CONGRATS!!!!!
Its a good card while rebuilding, another positive account for your profile with no annual fee. they do give an automatic cli during the first 6 months, i got a little over 10 pct of the credit limit, ymmv. the only beef i have with the card i have is cb is only redeemed as a statement credit. as bad as cap 1 is on cli's they are excellent on redeeming cb in a few different ways.
i still have my mercury mc but really dont use it, i put my spend mostly on , navy, penfed, QS, and savor one, also a smaller amount on target and kohls.

Thanks for that info. Have you had any additional CLI's with it? If so how often? How often did you use your card in the first 6 months? Did you carry a balance? How was their customer service?

Only the one cli. i only have the card 11 months so maybe another cli is coming. in the beginning i had about 25 pct utilization on the card because i needed some auto repairs. i kept a balance on it the first 6 months and then in december i got a penfed card with a zero pct bt offer and i transferred my balance from the mercury to the penfed. the mercury sits at zero bal. it was one of my first zero af cards during my rebuild which is ongoing. its a decent card, i have no complaints. the interest is high but customer service is good, at least with me.
