Re: Merrick CLI Why?

Congrats! Based on what I was told, Merrick Bank likes high utilization.

Yep, Merrick loves high utilization - I've had the card since 12/2011, around $1k SL. When I used it reguarly, carried a balance & paid interest the auto CLI's were very regular, got it up to $3100 CL. But I've outgrown the card and only charge Netflix and another small monthly bill to keep it active - and I haven't seen an auto CLI since. But since my card never had any fees I'll keep it active with the small monthly bills, the $3100 CL helps keep my overall util down even with 0% BTs. The one annoying thing with Merrick is that they don't allow customers to ask for anything - you can't ask for a CLI and you can't ask for a lower APR - my APR is the highest of any of my cards, 25.9%, but since they'll never get a penney in interest from me again I don't care.
