I was tempted by the sign up bonus on the Merril + card ($500-$1,000), so decided to apply. Two days after applying the account showed up ion my BOA page with a $18K SL. I called the backdoor number to recon the SL. Before Fidelity went over to Elan, I had a total of $32,500 with BOA, so I was pretty confident it would be raised. The credit analyst said there was a small chance it might be another HP, but it wasn't. I asked for them for $33K to beat my highest line, and received $29.7K.
Stats prior to Approval:
Pulled EX - 782
Inq - 4 (EX)
Util - 7%
Highest CL - $31.5K
Avg CL - $15K
AAoA - 5 yrs
Total CL's - $298K
Very nice approval and recon.. Congrats. My Merrill just came by overnight last night and put 500 on it thus far since getting it with just cell bills and student loans payment. 3k will be met pretty easily then go back to using the CSR for eating and what not.
Congrats! Very nice approval.

Nice! I recently applied and was approved for 2 more BoA cards (both $8k). I considered reconning my starting limit, but those are respectable and I already have FAR too much available credit, so I'll just play with the CLs of my 4 cards and call it a day.
