So since I paid down some balances in the last week and my util is at 4%, I figured I would go on a little spree and app for some cards I've had my eye on for a while. So I applied for Discover It, Chase Hyatt, and CapitalOne Quicksilver.
Approved for:
Chase Hyatt - $5,000
CapitalOne Quicksilver - $3,000
Discover - $6,300
Discover went into review. At the end of the application process they did ask me to upload some documents to prove my SSN and address, so I take it that was for verification and it's a good sign that I may get approved? *fingers crossed*
Anyway, I think I'm done for the time being. The only other card I want is an Amex BCE, which I'll probably go for in a few months once I build up a little more history with Amex. Other than that, I think my portfolio is complete for the time being, and I'll look into paring down actually.
Update: Called Discover this morning and rep verified my docs had been received and instantly approved me on the spot for $6,300 with 12 months @ 0%, then 18.24% APR after that! Finally in with Discover!
Well done. Congrats!!
Time to garden a little bit...maybe wait 6 months for the next Amex attempt.
Fingers crossed for the Discover...I'd think the verification bit is a good sign...
My mom, dad and me went through verification with discover, all 3 of us were approved in the end, you can try calling in and seeing if they can approve over the phone without sending in docs. I.e. Verification over the phone.
Good luck and congratulations on your approvals!

Well they provided an upload box so I can electronically upload scanned copies of my docs, which I did, and they said they would get back to me within 5-7 business days. Should I still call and see if I can speed things up?
that's what my mom did! call!
Congrats on the approvals
congrats
