Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh!!!
So I've been working on my credit and decided to apply for a couple of major cards after reading alot of info in the MyFICO forums.
I've had a membership with NFCU for about 10 months and I finally decided to apply for a credit card and was approved for the Go Rewards cc with a CL of $20K with an APR of 14.99%!!!!
And if the wasn't enough, after being an AU on my mom's Amex Gold cc for the last 2 yrs; I thought "my score has gotten better and I make $200k a year why not reward myself?" (That was that "credit courage" talking. Lol) So I decided to run a pre-approval check and was pre-qual for the Amex Platinum and Gold cards. It took me a minute to get the courage up to hit the apply button for fear of being denied. But after reading all the positive approval testimonies in the #MyFICO forum, I chose to hit the button on the Amex Gold Card (too scared to apply for the Platinum 😂) and was approved!!!! Totally speechless!
Although I got dinged on my EX score by about 6 points, I'm satisfied because I got the 2 major cards I wanted!! Thanks to everyone who educates, shares info and encouragement in the forums! You all ROCK!!
