Hey been a long time lurker and finally decided to join!
So my mini card story:
My first card Discover (a lowly CL$600) about a year an half ago.
I got Chase Freedom (CL4k) past January with the idea of applying for the Chase Sapphire Preferred some time later this year.
Then got the amex BC in July with CL2k
Then got the Marukai JCB August CL1.8k (I really wanted a JCB card!!!)![]()
However, I didnt know about the new 5/24 rule till a month or so ago, X_X so was a bit weary with 4 accounts in less then 2 years
Applied for the CSP on oct 3. got a pending message, called their application status number on sunday and it wasn't even listed. (I guess their computers get sat/sun off too! ![]()
Come monday morning I call the status line again and still not listed. ![]()
BUT I log on chase in the evening and BOOM! CSP listed with 9k CL!!
Yay!!!
Was so stoked that I applied for the SLATE a few mins later and instant approval 3.2k CL(what an odd number)
Going with the credit approval train I did CLI with my Discover a $1200 CLI to $1800 and the 3x Amex CLI to 6k. ![]()
Woke up the next morning applied for the Ritz Carlton and got a pending message 7-10 day. ![]()
Come friday I receive a snail mail for chase asking to call to verify for the RC which I did and approved for 6.4k!!!
The RC arrived same day as the CSP too! and I must say I love the box the RC came it.. so fancy!~
I think I should lay off chase for awhile ^_^
congrats!
curious... what was the bonus on the RC?
Welcome and Congrats!!
Congrats

Well yes, 4 before Chase. But the CSP made 5, which theoretically should've kept you from being approved for the Slate (which was #6).
By legacy I mean Chase's "main" (not cobranded) cards such as Freedom, Slate, and CSP.
