Better late than never, but I wanted to update you all on my ups and downs from December... I was a little busy! ![]()
I'd mentioned elsewhere that I was ready to take the pull on an auto refi for my wife's Wrangler, but I unfortunately was denied from PenFed, which was a bummer since that was one of the main reasons I joined up with PenFed in the first place! But no matter, since I was also accepted for a $5K Platinum Rewards card through them. In their own way, PenFed's treating me right
Around that time, I had been fooling around with SCT again to try to get a pop-up... something that I've never been able to achieve... and lo and behold, William-Sonoma came through with the preapproval! So I went through that whole process and got accepted for a $1K line with their standard Visa (took an HP though)! I'm really happy about this one as it gets me back in with Comenity, and I know about the potential for this card to grow sky-high.
I had also rolled the dice on getting back in with Macy's while I was out Christmas shopping, but no dice -- turns out I'm blacklisted with them for at least a little while longer. That's too bad since shopping at Macy's without a Macy's card is kind of annoying, but I'll just continue to deal
But in better news regarding my existing slate of credit lines, I was able to convert my CapOne Platinum to a no-fee Quicksilver (no CLI yet though), and I was the happy recipient of an auto-CLI on my Ollo card from $1500 to $2000!
Saving the best for last: since I ended up with that auto-refi decline and already had the HP, I figured it wouldn't do much harm to see if Acura would be able to help me out a bit early with my own vehicle upgrade, since my trusty TLX was nearing the end of term on its lease. And it turns out, yes they could! Turned in the lease on trade toward an AFS auto loan on a shiny new 2021 RDX A-spec. I'll post the details on that in the auto loans board, but I should note here that: (1) I had included Acura in my BK7 on that TLX lease; and (2) I did not reaffirm, but I maintained lease payments and was never late.

That's terrific! Congratulations on all your successes!!! 🎉🥂
Congrats on the conversion and the other approval! How long were you with Capital One before they converted you?

I was approved for the Platinum MC in August 2020, and I starting checking the conversion link (it can be found around these forums, for those who don't know) after the third statement. November was a denial, but December came back with the QS upgrade.

Pretty good run, grats on all of them ![]()
