First chance to post on this. Last week went on a mini-spree. Mostly CLI but one new card to improve the portfolio.
Discover: $2500 CLI Line now $10k
Sam's Club MC: $2500 CLI Line now $5k
Cap1: $250 (guess which card gets closed first? LOL)
New Card: US Bank Cash+ Visa Signature Card: Starting Line $5100. 0% interest for 15 months and $250 SUB with $500 spend in 90 days.
Going to farm that new card for the SUB and then when my lines increase enough buh bye Crap1.
Congrats! Wasnt for C*ap1and how they helped you build some history. The spree may not have happened. Be thankful and yes close it. It did what is was suppose to do. No reason to trash them.

Yep I agree.....they really aren't crappy but it's fun to call them that, esp after a cli denial
I closed my Plat----> QS card in order to jump on the Savor when it first came out. Crap...I mean Cap1 approved me with a beautiful metal card with a sl of $5k. Those were some exciting times back in the day and like @FireMedic1 stated if not for this FI it wouldn't have happened perhaps as quickly and with the safety of how Cap1 treats it's customers across the board. Meaning they aren't predatorial.
So who knows they may end up being your fav in the long run. Either way, congrats on ALL of your cli's.
Congrats! ..

Agreed. Some things are here for a season, some for a reason. In this case, it's both. I am not a fan of their general triple HP policy, but I do have to acknowledge that Cap1 does serve a purpose and help people on a rebuild. At least it offers secured cards from a major issuer that can graduate with no AF. There may be other options, as well, but it's best not to bite the hand that feeds you, as they say.
WooHoo!! Congratulations on your Approvals!!👏🏼🍾🥂
congrats on the approvals
I am fully aware and grateful for their granting me credit in the rebuild. That is not the issue. I have quite a few other grievances with them and am looking forward to cutting ties with them. Their offering $250 in an increase when others offered 10x more just seals the deal. They are not predatorial like Credit1, Blaze, First Premier etc. but they definitely prefer the weaker consumer to the ones with a strong portfolio.
Thanks for the support.
Very nice all around, congratulations!
