CONGRATS. Nice starting limit! Be sure to use your Barclays card every other month. They have been known to close accounts with 3 months of inactivity...
I've read a lot of myths about chase, and I think there's truth to the "they will match your highest limit", provided that your income and credit report supports it. So I sort of ran with that mith because when I applied for my Chase CSP preffered about a month ago I was instantly approved for $7000. The highest limit I had was $7000 (Citi Dividend)
After barclay reports this new trade line, I will apply for chase ink, and see if they match my new limit.
Congrats! I seem to remember it reporting rather quickly. Within 1 week?

Sorry, just don't think that is true in general. There was a recent thread about this and, as in my post, the Chase relative limits were all over the place, just like most other issuers. Obviously income and credit report influence the CL offered, but that is again true for all issuers.
And when people refer to issuer X matching issuer Y, it's hard to distinguish that from the second issuer analyzing the CR and reaching a similar conclusion.
Congrats on getting an amazing card
My priceline.com is at $1500 and my Sallie Mae is at $1600. Ah well, at least the limits are getting bigger.

I'm not sure this is totally accurate though. I realize a recent post by DaBears may have mentioned something to the effect that if no usage occurs within a 6 month timeframe, that may occur. I have 4 Barclays CCs and some have gone 4 or 7 months with no usage, never encountered such issue.
@ Themanwhocan, you sig is the reason why I applied for this card, and also the reason why I'm also going to apply for the cash plus. So thank you

You're welcome!
My first credit card ever was a secured card from Jan 2012 to Jan 2013. Everything else you see I obtained in 2013 ![]()
Well, the Cash+ cards were originally other US Bank cards. And I closed both the secured card and an Elan card I applied for in my first app spree in January. But what I have is definitely doable if you keep your eyes on the prize and just keep moving towards the goal.
