Thanks to the advice on this forum I was instantly approved for a AMEX Blue Cash Preferred today with a 5k limit. I was worried I wouldn't have enough history since I was just denied a CLI on my $500 Discover IT card for that reason and because the card is too new. Thanks everyone!
