Hey everyone,
First time starting a thread on here and I'm super excited to share that I've been approved for my first unsecured credit card!
I turned 18 about 7 months ago and on my birthday I opened up both a Secured Capital One and secured Discover card.
Fast forward to last month I applied for a Navy Federal card after getting a pre qualification but was denied so I opted to not waste the hard inquiry and accept the offer of a secured card, no additional pull.
Now, today, I logged into my Bank of America account and seen "A special offer for you" and it was for the Bank of America Cash Rewards card, I opted to see if I would be approved and sure enough I was, not for a lot, only $800, but still, I'm pumped!
Just as a reference point, they pulled Experian, my lowest FICO score.
Congratulations!! Super excited for you - you're well on your way --
Welcome to the forums!
Happy New Year🥂

Great job! You have an excellent build going there.
Thank you very much! I also have a self lender loan and a Kikoff loan going on as well. This is all to establish credit and get my foot in the door. I'm excited for Navy Federal and Discover to unsecure (hopefully soon) and hopefully.. Capital One, though I've heard mixed things on them graduating
