@Anonymous wrote:Thanks for the advice. I tried this and they said that an underwriter would contact me. They got back very quicly and said that $2K was the absolute
limit they could approve me for. Bummer.
My question now is if I should go ahead and cancel the account before it reports to CRAs? I have no HP showing on my CR yet but won't the new card lower my AAOA
and put banks off of extending me other offers because of too many new lines?
Any advice will be greatly appreicated.
What does your EX FICO look like...score? That's what they pull.

Congrats on the approval! Thanks for sharing.
How do I get my EX FICO? I thought they only offered FAKO scores..

@right here on myfico.com via the 3-in-1 credit bureaus monitoring @ $19.95 a month. There were some recent bugs with the roll-out but all appear to be resolved.

Just as an update, I called NASA FCU to ask if I could get my CLI increased to similar levels on my other card. They informed me that within the first 60 days of receiving the card, they'll use the same credit report that they looked at when you applied and not require a HP. I requested a total amount of $15,000 and recieved an approval email approximately 4 hours later. She originally said it would take 2-4 days. YMMV but hopefully this helps anyone looking to improve their CL with NASA if they were originally funded a "small" limit.
Thanks. That's good to know. WHat was you original limit if you don't mind me asking and what was your approximate score?
Cheers!
Thanks. I got a letter in the mail from NASA detailing my EX FICO score, which was 703.

My original limit was $5,000 and score was 725. The lady I spoke to was really nice, so hopefully it goes smoothly for you. It's definitely worth a shot

I would keep the card and try a recon in 30 days. Congrats!
