The shopping cart trick worked for me twice in 2 days. onestopplus with a $250 limit and victoria's secret with a $500 limit It's great because of the soft pull not hurting your credit score.
@Victor1 wrote:Are there any Visa or Mastercards I can be preapproved for using the shopping cart trick? Not just store cards but cards I can use elsewhere as well. Thank you in advance. I have a 671 on EQ .
Total Rewards is kind of like shopping trick however its not buying anything its signing up or loging in for the Players Card from Cesars Entertainment
*EDIT* I see The Credit Guy Brought this up
Hi Everyone!!
I wanted to update you guys on my Total Rewards Visa Signature pre-approval pop up from last Sunday. I was given the pre-approval pop up for the Total Rewards Visa Signature only once. That was when I first signed up on the "Total Rewards" site about a month ago. I declined the offer at that time as I wasn't interested.
I had signed in more than 15 times since then and no pop up. So, I decided to sign up again using my previous address that was and still is on my current credit report along with a different phone number. Low and behold - Just as soon as I signed in with my new username and password the pre-approval pop up was there. So, I decided to accept it this time and it pre-approved me for $2,500. But to back up a step - It will ask you if you are interested in the card. Once you click "yes, I'm interested" it will take you to another screen where you can input your current address and phone number so the card will come to the correct address. So, be sure to change your address to your current one or you'll never receive the card.
So, once I changed the address info, I clicked submit and it instantly approved me for $2,500. Again, that was last Sunday afternoon. Moving forward 5 days to today (Friday) - my card was already here.
I opened the envelope to review my credit line and other info and they had increased my initial credit line (without me asking) to $10,000 - I was pleasantly shocked to say the least!!! What a great way to start the weekend!! Interest rate - 17.99 - not to bad. They pulled EQ for me and yes, it was a hard pull.
I hope this helps someone looking to get this card. I'm looking forward to using it and enjoying the "Signature Series" perks.

Thanks for all the info. Just got a SP approval for $10,000 for Sportsmans Guide Rewards Visa. Not too shabby, my DH loves this site.
Congrats Teddybearkelli1!!
Great limit with the Sportsmans Guide Rewards Visa. That's the same limit they gave me and with a SP to boot - you can't beat it.
