Yesterday was a much better day with Cap1 QS1 approved for 3k and NFCU Visa for 1k.  This morning I received a DECLINED message from NFCU for the NavCheck LOC. Smiley Sad   Ugh.   2 steps forward and 1 step back but all in all it was a win in my book.  I'm heading to the Garden now and will watch over my new accounts as if they were a bag of diamonds.

Question for some of you senior NFCU members;  How logn should I wait before re-apping the NavCheck and when should I request my first CLI on my Visa ?

Thanks again Creditaddict and to the community.  Your help and guidance is awesome!

yes I would ask for CLI at 3 months on credit card and re-apply to navcheck.

I was declined the first time I applied and 2nd time I applied after I think 2 months I was countered with approval for $3k and then after I got my first big instant counter offer CLI at about 7 months to $7500 on both credit cards I was also approved to the full $15k on navcheck.

Re: NFCU CC APP'ING

Thanks for the reply Addict. Im heading to the garden and I'll either wait it out for 6 months or give it a go in 3 like you suggest. The INQ's are starting to add up so I need to be mindful of that.  I do realize if you're gonna burn an INQ then NFCU is a good a place as any to burn it but Im still getting concerned about INQ.  As I put in my siggy, I will need a car loan in a few months so I will have to burn yet another INQ or two. I will no doubt go thru NFCU for it.

NavCheck is now a goal of mine and I know I'll get it if I keep my ducks in a row, show NFCU some luv and apply patience.

Thanks again for the reply. I appreciate it.

Re: NFCU CC APP'ING

I just got my denial letter from NFCU. It only stated one denial reason: 093 Excessive Credit Obligations in relation to income. I make $82,000 a year and my monthly credit obligations are $1,000. Do you think calling and trying to do a recon will work?

Re: NFCU CC APP'ING

Ok crosses fingers. I sent the secured message and pleaded my case. I only applied because I received a pre- qual letter in the mail from them with a code. I was a little skeptical b/c I just got discharged from bakruptcy on 10/28 but tried my luck anyway. On the deinal letter it said my equifax credit score was 560. In the secured message I just highlighted my payment history with my USAA card and Chase card prior to the bankruptcy, both my car loan payment history and on how my current capital one card is paid in full every month. I hope this works honestly I like Navy even though I only had them for 3 months to me they are better than USAA. Ok I'll keep you guys posted either way. Does anyone know how BK friendly Navy is? Do you think this maybe the real reason for the denial?
