As I've posted in the topic I've been waiting since April to app for my second card with NFCU (joined in early March) for the More Rewards card since it was the one I was more interested in at the time and that big second card limit. Originally planned to do it on 4th of July weekend at 91/3 but since my first statement cut four days after opening I held off until 95/4 so July 8th became the day.
Tried their prequal tool and nothing came up, decided that if I wasn't getting a prequal I would wait until I did. Went ahead and did my CLI request for my Cash Rewards, only requested $5,000 since my limit is $1,000 and didn't feel like there was any point going higher since the max would be to $3,000. I watched the app like a hawk over the next 24 hours and nothing figured I was probably denied but with no response I wasn't sure, I sent a message late last night. Didn't get a reply yet but about 48 hours after my request I checked my CR account again and my limit was raised to the full 3x increase and my limit is now $3,000!
Now, feeling more confident and seeing some DPs about getting approved even when the prequal didn't show anything I decided to go ahead and try for the MR anyway. So I went ahead and applied anyway... Denied! 
Hopes for the crazy second card limit have been dashed for now so I'm bummed on that. Got that TU HP (now at 4/12, one aging a year in October, 2nd in December) notification real quick though. 
I'm going to try my luck and send a message to reconsider, I know the chances are slim but I already got the HP so I might as well.
While I had that open I was at the same time again looking at my Amex prequals which I seem to do a couple of times a week, I was planning at a later time to apply for an Amex card (and maybe another) for my new PC build plans this Fall where I'd easily be able to meet sign up bonuses. That very tempting $350 SUB on the Blue Cash Everyday card finally got to me to start really thinking about pulling the trigger now instead of October along with thinking they probably wouldn't give me a big limit to begin with and the end date of this new bonus being October 7th, it'd be too late if I waited a full three months after approval for the MR (which ended up not happening right now of course) and I figured if I did it now I could get at least potentially get a CLI.
I started to fill out the application but held off before clicking to apply to go back and finish apping for the MR. The More Rewards denial stung a bit but figuring I already got it ready and I only had two EX HPs I might as well just do it now and I clicked. About 30 seconds later I was approved with a $1,000 limit, I know it's considered a toy limit but hopefully it'll grow. I actually wanted this more than the More Rewards from not just the much better SUB (IMO) but because as of now also prefer cash back over points and this card will serve a decent role with my Disco which I recently PC'd to the quarterly 5% CB and CB match since I'm still in my first year, and my CR which admittedly has mainly taken the role of "filler" for when I was around time of my Disco statement cutting. The BCE will at least be my go to grocery card now.
So yeah, even though the "big one" got away for now (but will request a recon to see what happens) I'm glad to get the BCE now and with the 3x CLI to my CR so I don't feel too bad.

Congrats on the approvals and the upcoming new PC build! Wish mine would have waited for me to get my new cards before clunking out on me! But hey, shiny new build is always fun.
