I was trying to wait till I was 0/12 to gain a few points first, but got a bit antsy and applied for Cash Rewards Plus today. $7100 CL, 18% APR, $250 for $2500 in 90 days sub. DPs below:
- NFCU member for just over a year. No DD with them just a certificate that I recently renewed for another year.
- Inquiries and new accounts at time of approval: 0/6, 1/12, 2/24
- 7+yr old BK7
- Pulled TU only
- FICO 9 scores EQ9 722 TU9 724 EX9 721 (NFCU doesn't pull FICO 8 afaik)
This was just to diversify and will likely be my last card app for quite a while. Prior to this I didn't have a MC or Visa that wasn't Capital One and 5 of my then 6 cards were C1 or Discover. I don't anticipate this getting heavy usage after meeting the sub requirements since I normally use VX as my non category catch all. It's nice to have crossed the $50k barrier for available credit (small compared to many here, but a milestone for me).

consider contacting them to disable auto-CLIs and remember to ask for CLIs manually to get the highest possible limit for your new card: ~91 days from now, ~190 days after that, ~190 days after that etc.
