Data point to benefit the interwebs...
I have been wondering if Navy Federal CLI time limits are per-person or per-card. Turns out they're per-card.
On 2/19/2026 I requested a CLI on my CashRewards Plus card. Prior request was more than 6 months (and 6 statements) previous. CLI was granted and CL moved from $20,500 to $28,500.
On 3/25/2026, a little over a month later, I requested a CLI on my Flagship card. The card had a SL of $25,000 about a year ago. The CLI was granted and CL moved from $25,000 to $33,000.
These were obviously done >6 months (and 6 statements) AFTER the prior CLIs on each of the cards. Well, I had never asked for a CLI on the Flagship but thought I'd never need it. Lately they gave me a balance xfer offer of 1.9% for 15 months which I had to take; no BT fee. Instead of paying the bills on my other cards in full each month, I BTed them to NFCU, then will stick the dough in a 4% (Barclays AARP) HYSA and make money. Why wouldn't one? Arbitrage. Or invest it if you're willing to take more risks than I.
Neat - thanks for sharing.
And thank you, Susan, for thanking me. I love to share with folks like yourself. It kind of makes my day.
Great. Congrats on both CLIs.
