After 4 months of being an avid lurker I finally got off of my tablet and picked up the phone. Ive read NOTHING but positive things about NFCU so I had to see for myself. I started out on my fico in October 13 with a whopping 500 EQ and as of today im at 646...thanks to this forum.
I called NFCU yesterday and within 15 pleasant minutes my account was open and my online banking was active. I've read that they're beyond generous with their CL so I asked to apply.
Low and behold, I was approved for a $5000 cash rewards visa! Then I thought LOC? Why not! I tried for $10,000 hoping for a counter. I didnt really care how much, my new Visa is my highest limit EVER! I got the message that it needed further review so I figured it was a no go. This morning they requested POI and by noon they shocked me yet again APPROVED, for $10,000...not a counter offer in sight!
So now my fingers are itching and I app for the nrewards visa. APPROVED for $2500!!
This has been a day to remember! I started my day off yesterday with a few low limit CC, AF's and $7700 of revolving limits. Now I'm headed to freedom from Cap1 and Credit One with $25,200 of revolving limits! It's been a good day!
Congrats! and Welcome to the NFCU Family!
Congrats!
Congrats! Post a financially damaging out of control now exhusband of 24, I can appeciate the long arguous battle. I have paid numous debts that were not my own, merely because I was married to him and fearing what would happen if I left. I have spent the last 5 yrs literally cleaning up and paying more than I ever should have, most did not have my name on the bill, but because they were medical bills from my kids, and him I had not choice. I certainly did not want my kids to be nailed when they turned 18. UnreaL. FiNALLY, I have only 1 student loan and a secured card. I am in the low 600s on 2 Credit Agencies, and high 500s on Transunion. I can't wait for the day to feel like my integrity in writing is back.
Im assuming NFCU is a credit union?
Very nice! Congratulations ![]()
