Thanks everyone, especially Donny and Joe. I’ll definitely take you’re advice and keep an eye out on my Sync accounts and grow my Navy account. Hopefully my secured card graduates soon. What other products should I have in my profile? I’m pretty much all done with retail revolvers lol.
Wow! Congrats!

Curious... what did you say in your recon message?
Reviving this, I'd like to know as well. I just sent a recon message to NFCU on a cashRewards card with a SL of $500. By far my lowest limit card. If not I'll sit in the garden and go for a CLI after my 91/3.

@Bcunniff9 wrote:So a little pre story first. I’m 14 months post BK7 d/c. My current scores are in my sig. Yearly salary $70,000+ including OT/stipends. Current accounts include:
Nelnet Student Loan - $9,937.30
MOHELA Student Loan - $9,102.16
Santander Auto Loan - $14,058.89
NFCU nRewards Secured Visa - CL $1,500.00
Town Fair Tire - CL $2,000.00
Capital One QS - CL $500.00
Walmart - CL $3,500.00
Kohl's - CL $300.00
Amazon Prime - CL $3,500.00
Synchrony Care Credit - CL $7,000.00
Lowes - CL $5,000.00
Guitar Center - CL $800.00
Every year I evaluate my credit accounts. I’ve had a perfect history since my BK. So I decided to attempt CL increases on all my Synchrony accounts, but first I applied for a Guitar Center Card, just for **bleep**s. I shop there so I figured why not. I was approved for $800 SL. So after the approval, I started the process of limit increases. I’ll list the pre/post limits below.
Town Fair Tire - $400.00/$2,000.00
Walmart - $500.00/$3,500.00
Amazon Prime - $900.00/$3,500.00
Synchrony Care Credit - $1,500.00/$7,000.00
Lowes - $300.00/$5,000.00
@Anonymous. You read that correctly. Synchrony rewarded me with $17,400 in CL increases in about a 20 minute time span. So at this point I’m in total shock. I screamed like a little girl when I was finished with applying. As many of you know, the high you get from this really cool. So out of pure stupidity I decided my credit profile was good enough to apply for the new NFCU More Rewards AMEX. The card that’s supposedly a very difficult card to get. I applied and was shot down faster than you could believe lol. So I sent a PM to NFCU through their messaging system. The response I got the next day put me into shock again. I thought I was dreaming. So I only got a $1,000.00 SL @ 18% APR, but I’m not mad at all. It’s a foot in the door, and I’m grateful for that. So the moral of the story is never say never after a BK. Keep pushing for what you deserve and stay the course. Now I need a nap 😂.
