I just applied and was approved with a SL of 3000. I was a little surprised at how low it was due to having a 784 credit score, < 8% utilization, and high income. NO lates or any other bad info in my report. I have 175k if availiable credit across all major cards. I spoke with rep and she said just hit CLI in 3-6 months. This seems like a great bank with great rates. Hopefully the limit will grow in the future. Anybody elses situation would be appreciated.
That's great! Congratulations on your approval!!

Hmmmm. Your profile sounds like mine yet they gave me $25k SL. What is your credit mix? I also had a $25k loan with them that I opened two months ago. Not sure that qualifies as "history" with them. It was also my first card. There must be something else? AoA?
AoA is 6 years. I have no prior experience with NFCU. I do have a recent mortage on my CR that just started reporting from a purchase of a vacation home. That's the only thing I can think of. I will let it age and build the limit.
Congrats! With your profile you should be hitting 25k soon.
Congratulations on your NFCU Plat approval!!

They usually give you a low limit for your first card.
But you can get CLI's later on, so don't worry about it.
It is a great credit union. Their rates aren't necessarily better than many other credit unions, but their customer service is tops.

Excellent! Congrats!
